                                                           All About Body

Training, fitness, getting toned & cellulite..Yeah, those familiar words. Specially when its close to or when it is summer..
I met Kamil in my local cafe. We go to same cafe for take-away coffees. He is friends with the car people, so am I.  It was long before I knew he was a personal trainer,  we would greet each other, and smile. You know the friendly neighbour smile.
One summer day, I was bragging about how I want to get fitter  and that I might need to find a personal trainer, with my friend, who works at the cafe.
Kamil was next to us. He said I look like a model. So typical. I know.  But he said if I wanted to get fitter he could help me and that he is a personal trainer.
I was excited. We planned a day to catch up for coffee and chat about my body first.
To admit the truth, I like my body. I like my shape and figure. What I don't like is that I'm not perfectly fit. Far from it. If you talk about how you want to hit the gym and get fitter, a lot of people think you're insecure or not confident. No, I'd say I am confident.
I know how to dress my shape. I know all about my body. I'm a petite, hourglass.
And this is what I exactly told him. But I have cellulite which I want to get rid of. I've put few extra kilos during winter because of increased appetite and to keep warm.. On top of that I haven't been training. A bit more than a  month ago, I bought running wear from Lorna Jane and these comfy and stylish New Balance runners from Platypus. I ran few times and I kind of got busy and left it.
Anyways, what I want is to get more toned and more muscular body. Not so much full on muscles which you might be imagining. But I want convert some of the fat to muscle. I want toned, fit legs, butt, tummy and arms. It's not the just about the looks, but I want to feel healthier and stronger.

Do you know what I mean? At least Kamil knows what I mean. I showed him pictures and openly told him all about my body and what I want to achieve.

My blogging and modelling work requires me to be super fit nowadays. Also, I did ballet for years, as a teenager. I want to get back to where I was before I stopped training. You know, college, partying, work, busy schedule,  boyfriend... Excuses...

But in recent years, my  legs got so weak that now when I go to Sydney Dance Company (like twice, three times a year),  and dance ballet, I get massive cramps and I can't even walk home after the class.

I want to be used to exercises. It sounds ambitious or not, but one day, in near future, after I get super fit, I wanna go back to ballet. I want to be on pointe shoes again.

By now, we have trained five times in last two weeks, out of that, one being at the gym and the rest outdoors in a park.
Kamil comes prepared for each training with a written plan of what exercises we will do for how many minutes and how long the breaks will be etc. He is a funny person, who jokes a lot. So every time before when we just start the training, I laugh a lot, like it will be funny. But no. It's hard!
He is funny guy but he is serious about training. He really pushes me to do my best. But what I love is that the energy. He is a very energetic and passionate trainer.

We combine the  training with swimming, sauna, steam & jakuzi.
As all of the above together are great treatment for cellulite. We are doing lots of squats and other exercise that really work on legs, thighs and butt. Hot and cold shower, sauna, steam & jakuzi, they all increase blood circulation, therefore help to break the fat cells which is so called cellulite.
When I'm in either sauna, steam room or jacuzzi, I massage and rub my thighs a lot to increase the blood circulation even more.

However, I leave this post here. I will keep writing about my training and how my body is improving! :) :) :P
XOXOX.

                                                       All about Teeth-Pure Smile

Today was a day all about teeth.  I went to Broadway shopping centre for my second  cosmetic teeth whitening appointment at the Pure Smile.
A friendly girl with big smile, (with absolutely spotless, shining white teeth), welcomed me and introduced the procedures. I was quite  familiar with procedure as it was my second time.
However, my previous treatment was held at the Darling Harbour shopping centre, (which now re-located in Miranda).
Her name is Flavie, she was absolutely professional and helpful. She had me sit in the little round booth,  and gave me brush, toothpaste,  two plastic cups,  (one for spitting out after brushing your teeth and the other for putting the brush) and a small bottle of water.

After brushing my teeth I was told to place the mouth tray with whitening gel in my mouth and wear these big red glasses to protect my eyes from the laser which she put near my mouth facing the teeth.
They replace the mouth tray with new gel every 15 minutes, per sessions run from 30-45 minutes each time. You also get to brush your teeth each time. The booth is so comfortable and relaxable that you'd fall asleep, (I fell asleep each time!).

The result was fantastic! I went up to at least 3 shades whiter!
Overall, it was a fantastic experience. I'd like to thank the Pure Smile team.

Kisses, flowers & mystery

                                                                  A bitter sweet look.

I think I had a bitter sweet life in a way.  I guess,  I reflected it on my style unconsciously, well,  until I started blogging and since then I do it consciously and unconsciously.
Fashion has always been a way of expressing myself for me. I remember my childhood through what I wore. More precisely, I remember each year & season by what I wore at the time. Now looking back, ever since I was a little girl, my style was 'bitter sweet'.  For instance,  I was 11, I had these awesome red leather jacket and pants suit, which I wore with burgundy red shiny latest Mary Janes with sparkly bow on its strap.

Identifying Kouture Kitty has allowed me to learn more about her/myself. I think of Kouture Kitty as a very girly, sweet girl who loves pink,  (lives in Harajuku) and kawaii culture yet listens to hard rock music and wears motorcycle jackets, black leather boots or platform shoes by Jeffrey Campbell. She has tattoos but she has a big soft toy collection including few Hello Kitty dolls.
She may seem a little princessy, maybe even a bit dependable & innocent, but she has very in depended mind and she is definitely not someone you can mess with.

Dollbaby restyled in Kouture Kitty way..

So, I was looking at my older post, 'Fairy Floss coloured afternoon, bubble gum sky & cocktail date', the other night. I like the shoot but there was definitely something missing, specially in case of styling It wasn't exactly Kouture Kitty.
It was too plain. Just plain glamour. That's not me, I thought.
I found what was missing-something edgy, something that adds a bit of 'rockability' to most of Kouture Kitty's looks. A black hat, a pair of black boots or something you know. Kouture Kitty isn't all pink! She loves pink, specially pink dresses and pink bags but she loves her black boots, her black bowler hats, you know!
And I realised why I stopped wearing hats-it's because I lost my last bowler hat during my shoot with Italian photographer, Luca Bonaduce.
Eversince, I never had the time or chance to get myself a perfect bowler hat!

That's when Kouture Kitty lost her signature look!
So I talked to Jason White,  the photographer I worked with on 'Playing on the Waves' post, and he was happy to help me re-create the post.
I accessoired the Dollbaby, Rose Satin Corset dress with some Alannah Hill gloves, socks & black platforms from Zomp Shoes. Oh and some dark lipstick! Now that's more like Kouture Kitty!

Long time gone...

A raven black haired girl in long white wedding dress, flower crown and black lace gloves, sitting by the cliff, too close to the ocean, awaiting.. It's a cloudy, grey day with overcast. She bathes with her dress in the rock pool. Her flower crown floats..
She awaits and awaits.. For someone who's long time gone. For a lover who's long time gone.

No doubt: I'm just a girl.. Just in denim

Take this pink ribbon off my eyes

I'm exposed, and it's no big surprise

Don't you think I know exactly where I stand?

'Cause I'm just a girl, a little ol' me

Well, don't let me out of your sight

Oh, I'm just a girl, all pretty and petite

So don't let me have any rights

Oh, I've had it up to here..

Desdemona by the ocean

I've seen William Shakespeare's classic play 'Otello' few times in Ulaanbaatar's Drama theatre and in 'Nairamdal' summer camp, played by our teachers.
Each time I saw the play, it left me a deep mark. But I adored Desdemona. Her name, her dress and her beauty. Yet I felt her tragedy in my heart.

However let alone the Shakespeare's classic.
I was taking my usual walk in Paddington, (my favourite area in Sydney), and glimpse of these beautiful white dresses on the display caught my eye.

Specially, foremost of all, the long white dress haunted me. It looked like that of Desdemona's, romantic, sensual, yet raw and beautiful. A long sleeved, with plain top and multi layered skirt.
After staring at the dresses like forever and I was then able to read the name of the boutique: AJE.
Unfortunately, the shop was closed, so I was there as soon as I got up the next morning.

I wear it with my jewelled long strapped clutch from Forever New,  'Nero's italian leather ankle boots and have my hair down.
I wear it to fancy restaurants to have dinner. I wear it on my favourite ' solo day out', (I check my favourite boutiques then go to Kinokuniya for book shopping and Starbucks to buy Caramel Machiatto).

I  now (after this shoot), dyed my hair blue-black for the summer and I think it suits perfectly with my white dresses from AJE:'Desdemona',  'Emilia'.

Below here  are some shots taken by the talented Jonathan Key.

Here, I'm dreaming, feeling divine and romantic in my Desdemona dress by the ocean.

I now feel like I've played Desdemona's role on stage.

I am Desdemona.

Dreams, lattes and chasing bunnies

Me and Johny were suppose to shoot on Sunday but I had no idea about concept, I had my 'Emilia' dress tom Aje freshly bought in it bag. (I am currently obsessed with AJE, I bought two absolutely gorgeous pieces from summer collections and planning to get few more pieces).
I wore it with my Nero leather ankle boots second pair of the same design.
I think the leather boots completes the kind of raw look, together with minimum make up ( a lot of Max Factor False Lash effect mascara and their light foundation with Alpha moisturiser) and messy bed hair.  I use Organix, Cherry Blossom Shampoo & Conditioner which keeps the natural slight wave and volume of my hair.
We took a walk around Surry Hills, I changed into my Emilia dress in a bathroom of a cute little cafe.
As soon as I changed into my dress I felt different.
We walked along the Riley street, then we saw this really cool restaurant with super creative decor in a white shady looking house, we took few shots there. Unfortunately I didn't catch the name as there was no signs and the restaurant was closed, only few guys moving the chairs.

We walked further down just to discover  a beautiful cafe with flowers, plants and red wooden chairs.
I went to order lattes and a beautiful Italian girl that looked like an actress took my order.
We talked about our dreams and chasing them and for some reason about bunnies as we sipped our lattes.
After Pasta Emilia, we walked around Surry Hills and found another spot to shoot. It was this little back street with gorgeous houses that look like from fairy tales.
I specially loved the pinks house with red flowers. It looks like it's covered with cherry blossoms.
I believe Surry Hills is a magical place. There are so many beautiful secret lane ways. streets and cafes. It's like chasing bunnies. You look for a place to shoot photography then you end up in a magical little street. It's like chasing your dreams. You chase it, you don't know what journeys await you.
Lattes are my magical portion. It's like Alice in Wonderland.
