A visit to the magical world of Alannah Hill!

So, last week I got this idea of visiting my fave stores and doing a series of 'Kouture Kitty's wishlist' post.
We started off with Alannah Hill store in Paddington! Although it was a rainy so therefore 'a bad hair day' but we don't have everyday in our hands, so we walked in.
It was already nearly 5 o' clock, so we didn't have a lot of time. But still it was a delightful visit. It always is to Alannah Hill.

Besides I hadn't checked the new collection.
So you can imagine how excited I was and it didn't take me seconds to notice the exquisite rose red dress, scarlet hairband with a bow and oh my the new tights! The pair of red tights with black bow on it caught my eye in an instant!

They also have a new face, the talented and gorgeous Dami Im. She looks absolutely beautiful wearing Alannah Hill!
I'm sure there were more beautiful things but let's just say, this is a brief of my wishlist from Alannah Hill's new collection. I will definitely go there again and spend more time to find treasures.

And here we go!

I love, love the pearl hairband specially how it goes amazingly well with the kind of a  cheongsam looking red dress. Made feel very 1930's, a 'Shanghai Rose'. Think of the gorgeous Joan Cheng in 'Home Song Stories',  or Maggie Cheung in 'In The Mood for Love'..

I would fall in love with these two over and over again. They are definitely  the MUST MUST HAVES of the season!

This is a glance at The  Magical World of Alannah Hill!

The details of the rose red dress..

I love this cute little dress too, simple on the top and floral details on the bottom!

This pink jewelled purse just reaches way over the limit of 'prettiness' and 'girlishness'!

My style tips of the day:

Wear red+red!
Get the 'Shanghai Rose' look!
Wear a pretty hairband in scarlet red or  one that's made of pearls!
Wear a pair of Alannah Hill tights in red!
Carry a pink-jewelled purse daily,  to go to your local cafe or to go to your News agent to buy Vogue!

                                                 Lace, Sheer  & Romance
Hello Kouture Kitties!
Lace is romantic. White is not only romantic but angelic.  This is why I always loved wedding dresses. And I think we should be able to wear a pretty wedding like or an actual wedding dress any day of the week.
I love wearing a long lace/sheer dresses with see through bottom.
The bottom see through dresses were big trend from 2012-2013. Still now sheer see through skirts on the trend but not as much for the lace dresses.
But for me it's never out of trend because it's just so beautiful.
I think every girl should own at least one white lace dress with see through bottom!

I have one in black from the label Evil Twins which I purchased from General Pants and two in white from Born In June.  This white dress I'm wearing on the photos below is one of those two.
It's an independent designer label, their shop is located in Paddington opposite the Berkelow bookstore.

I wear it on its own sometimes but mostly with my sleeveless white gem shirt from Forever New, and always with a bowler hat.

The idea of this shoot is perhaps just that.  We went to that 'bird-cage' artwork place, near Ivy bar in Sydney. It was beautiful and suited with the romantic concept.

Black bowler hat kind of defines the look, I think. I have a history with bowler hats. My first and all time favourite bowler hat was from label, Subtitled. I purchased it from, of course, General Pants. I wore it everyday, with everything, with lace dresses, denim shorts, be it anything. I even wore it when cooking, or watching movies, curling up in my sofa.
But unfortunately, one day, I forgot it at work and it disappeared. Someone evil must have decided to steal the key of my signature look. Hehe. How ever it was very painful. And Subtitled had stopped making those hats, and ever since there are absolutely no bowler hats sold in General Pants, for some reason. So a good friend of mine, got me a similiar hat from China Town, after few days I lost it again.
This one I am wearing is the third bowler hat of mine. I found it not long ago from Sportsgirl, now I wear it everyday if not I'm wearing my top hat.

Here, I am wearing my white sandals. They are from Zomp shoe store. Sometimes I wear white lace dresses with black ankle boots too.

Dark complexion goes well with all white outfit. Specially emphasising your dark complexion will look even better. When I wear white head to toe, I apply bronzer highlighting my cheekbones.
Also black liquid eyeliner is highly recommended.

Here I am wearing my Akubra top hat.

A wedding dress that with see through bottom on runway! I would wear it to go to sushi place!

Olivia Palermo wore this lovely polka dot sheer skirt recently. She defined the look with her black top, purse and shoes.

Oh lala, Jane Birkin and Serge! Jane is my style muse.  Although her dress isn't bottom-see-through, it's white and long. She looked romantic, youthful, and impossible to resist in that long white dress. I would so wear it with my bowler hat!

Hello Kitty & High Tea Party
It's a gorgeous Sydney afternoon with fairly floss colored sky, soft summer breeze..We are sitting in a pretty little cafe at the Rocks.  It's called 'Tea Cosy'. It's so cosy, so so cosy with cute decor and mugs and prints everywhere!
We started with caramel-honey, vanilla-honey lattes then ordered the high tea set that came with the tea of our choice, which was 'rose lavender' tea.

I wore my Shakuhachi matchy matchy top and maxi skirt which I call 'my ice cream dress'.  I love it so much and it actually looks like layered scoops of strawberry, vanilla and bubble gum ice cream on a cone.

I wear it with 'Akubra' top hat, which I can't live without.
I found this precious top hat from the 'Anton's' shop in Paddington.
I absolutely adore this store. It's a little store of magic, with premium quality hats of variety styles and colors, stockings with unique designs, suits, straps, coats and cute leather shoes..

And of course my Karren Walker, kitty studs and a ring!

And on my feet, I'm wearing my favourite, 'Kathy', grey suede pump sandals,  from Jeffrey Campbell.

It's kind of blueish grey and suits with any 'ice cream' or 'cupcake' outfit, and they are amazingly comfortable.

My most loved pink box bag is also featured here. It has almost become a part of my body. I found it just surfing the internet, precisely on the Forever New, online store.

The next day I went to the Forever New store, in Mid city, and saw the bag, and just fell in love even more and purchased it right away.

After the much enjoyed high tea with little cakes, pastries filled with yummy jam and thick cream, we took a walk around the harbour bridge and circular quay. The water is juicy blue, the view of it is alway spectacular.

It's the magic of living in Sydney.. Your sun kissed skin glowing in the sunshine, as your hair flows smoothly by the pleasant ocean breeze. We then headed to the stylish bars in the city, 'Marble bar', 'Ivy pool club' for a few Cosmopolitans and Amaretto sours..
