                                              KRIJLA (Wings). Dark Fantasy.
You're taking off your evening dress
standing with your face to the wall.
And I can see the fresh scars
on your velvet-smooth back.
I feel like crying from the pain
or falling asleep to forget everything 1
Where are those wings of yours
that I was so fond of?
Where are those wings of yours
that I was so fond of?
Where are those wings of yours
that I was so fond of?
We used to have time,
now all we have is work.
Proving that the powerful feast upon the weak,
Proving that things are going from bad to worse. 2
We've all lost something
in this insane war.
So, where are those wings of yours
that I was so fond of?
I'm not asking you how much money you have,
or how many husbands you've had.
I can see you're afraid of open windows
and upper floors.
If a fire breaks out tomorrow
and the whole building goes up in flames,
we'll perish without those wings of yours
that I was so fond of.
Lyrics of 'Krijla' song, by Russian band Natiulus Pompilus, 'Dark Fantasy' (as named by me), dress by Shakuhachi, Photography by Kelly Anne Photography.
I was looking at these pictures Kelly emailed me, and I couldn't help but reminded of the song Kirjla
by my all time favourite Russian rock band Natiulus Pompilus. It's a very dark yet beautiful song. Just like this dress from Shakuhachi.
The floating long, silk dress with dark blue & purple colors has something very dark, poetic and fantasy like about it. For a night out I wear with my darkest lipstick, jewelled clutch and high heeled Acne boots.
For a day out,  I'd just wear it Jeffrey Campbel platform sandals, Kate Spade box clutch, and plum dark lipstick.
